A Day In The Life Of A Recruitment Consultant

"I wasn't sure what I wanted to do when I left university and had a few jobs which I wasn't really happy with. I can remember speaking to a friend and saying that what I wanted to get out of a job was a feeling of satisfaction, the ability to see something through from start to finish as well as having a lot of people interaction. And obviously a good salary would help! I had basically just described what it is like working for a recruitment consultancy.

Working on the recruitment desk, everyday I meet and interview a range of interesting people. They are usually really upbeat when they come into the offices and you get a real buzz when you place them in a good role. In between placing jobs, I have built good relationships with Heads of Finance within some of the largest blue-chip companies in the UK. I love the buzz of a sales environment and I really feel I am rewarded for the hard work I put in. Recruitment is not easy but I feel I make a real difference.

Morgan West really seem to have got the work/life balance right - I have been given early responsibility and am very much in charge of my own destiny. The atmosphere in the office is definitely work hard, play hard and I have met some of my closest friends through work."
